THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO SEPTEMBER 27TH DUE TO HURRICANE FLORENCE!!!!
The Young Architects Forum (YAF) of Hampton Roads presents the first-ever YAF Talks featuring 27-year-old local designer Alec Yuzhbabenko.
Alec will be sharing his design insights on 'The Wave' project, which originally began as his college thesis at Virginia Tech. The project is now being proposed for development at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Unlike past municipal and corporate presentations given on the project, YAF Talks will focus more on Alec, his design, and his journey and experiences throughout this project, with the aim to present an intimate perspective on The Wave—ultimately to inspire local students, and both emerging and established professionals alike.
The event will take place September 13th at the new Smartmouth Pilot House in Virginia Beach.
*Student admission is free only with student ID verification at the door.
YAF Talks is a platform for emerging professionals within the architecture and design community of Hampton Roads to share their individual ideas, work, research, and interests. Similar to TED Talks, YAF Talks will be a recurring program, organized and curated by local emerging professionals, featuring the voices of local emerging professionals.
This event will also be counted as 1 LU.
