The Housing Resource Center will provide efficiency apartments, family and single shelters, supportive services, a health clinic and other community resources in one facility, making it the first of its kind in the region. More than 100 homeless individuals and family members at a time will have shelter or a permanent home at the Housing Resource Center. The center will provide expanded day services for the homeless such as laundry, showers and case management services, classrooms and meeting rooms for city agencies and community organizations. The third floor will be dedicated office space for the Departments of Human Services. Job readiness and training classes will also be available to help families and individuals prevent or leave homelessness behind.
The Health Clinic will provide comprehensive primary care health services for both participants at the center and the community. Interim family housing will be in 10 motel-style rooms with 40 beds and room for cribs. Singles overnight shelter will have 49 beds in dormitory-style beds for single adults and 7 ADA accessible beds. There are 30 efficiency apartments that will provide longer term or permanent living arrangements.
